Of course, discrimination can be in all forms; Race, gender and etc. But I want to talk about individuality discrimination, because I believe it is big problem in todays society, especially in England and America (I should know). I want to start off with a story, a true one, a very sensitive one which I happened to hear about last night. A story about a young girl named Sophie Lancaster and her boyfrind Rob Maltby, 11th August 2007 in discription.

Sophie Lancaster was a 20 year old student, currently in her gap year. She had a boyfriend named Rob Maltyby, an art student who had been going out with Sophie for 3 years. They were both attatched to the goth subculture and were proud of it. Between 1:10 - 1:20 am, the couple were returning home and came across a young large group of teenagers in the park. The group followed them, suddenly attacking Rob without provocation. When he was knocked unconscious, Sophie tried to protect him by cradling him in her arms. She was repeatedly stamped on, kicked in the head and jumped on. They were both left, bleeding before a group of girls came over to help them. One rang the police/ambulence and told them what she had witnessed - "We need, we need an ambulance at Bacup Park, this mosher’s just been banged because he’s a mosher." Witnesses revealed that afterwards: "The killers celebrated their attack on the goths - or "moshers" - by telling friends afterwards that they had "done summat good", and claiming: "There's two moshers nearly dead up Bacup park - you wanna see them -they're a right mess."
Both ended up in a coma, maltby eventually came out of his, when Sophie did not. Her coma was too deep and died August 24 - the life machine turned off because the injuries were too severe for her to recover.

It's fucking disgusting. Am I right?
I'll try and not swear, but I find it hard. That girl had so much life, so much oppotunity - but no. She got killed, protecting her boyfriend simply because of the way she dressed and what she listened too. It's sick, really really sick. If people don't agree how others dress -- don't say anything or dont do anything, go on about your business and concentrate on what's going on in your life, instead of others. Right? It's bullshit.

I also know a different story, about a young guy who killed himself because of the abuse and torment he recieved everyday just because he wanted to look different. It's a big reason why young people, especially teenagers kill themselves because they are comfortable of being who they are but uncomfortable about the response of others. People don't understand how bad words can really hurt. For being picked on everyday because you feel happy in your own skin, that your not like the rest (because in the end, that's all that really matters. Being happy and accepting your true self) is bullshit. Be happy for who you are. Be proud of what you look like. And love yourself. Who cares what others think? People who hurt others for being happy shows how sad they really are. Never give in to them, because they arnt worth it. I encourage everyone reading this to never change, not for anyone. If you look different in any shape, or any form, don't let the assholes get to you down. Be you. Be happy. Be strong.

First, I must apologize that I have ignored livejournal.
Even though this account was set up in last Nov, i've only just managed to get a post out. Sorry.

On a higher note, I believe I haven't thoroughly introduced myself;

Hi, I'm Hannah. I'm 15 years young and I have an incredible, extraordinary deep fasination and love for vampires. It's abosolutely ridiclious how it has taken, somewhat, over my life. My mind is a colourful whir of strange, completely impossible ideas that no one else understands.

I like anime, mangas, comics, supernatural stuff, all forms of art, sushi, coffee, glitter, horror/comedy/romance/crime literature, tokidoki, theatre, ice cold rain and sleep. I dislike, well, lets not go into that as I simply won't shut up from the vast list.

My favourite films, I guess, would be tim burton films, fear and loathing in las vegas, spiderman 1/2/3, batman returns, hot fuzz, shaun of the dead, zombie films, psycho killer films, interview with the vampire, clockwork orange, donnie darko, fight club, harry potter, lotr... I could go on.

I have a wide taste in music, but less in the rap/hip hop area because honestly, what some people produce is shit. I'm not down with the whole, sex slave hoes thing. Its replusive. I don't call that music. I'm deffinatly a rock/pop/electro fan, though the ages and up to date. My favourite bands are my chemical romance, the used, the dresden dolls, the smiths, the cure, muse, placebo, mew and radiohead. I do like alot more, though. Such as no doubt... gwen stefani! -laugh-

I don't watch the idiotbox very much, I find it more relaxing and educational to read, but if I do, its mostly a horror series/program, the occasional invader zim, mighty boosh or just watching whatever my parents are - pure boredom at it's highest.

I take english, maths, science, art, history, japanese and graphics at my school. I don't really understand education. I only believe you can be taught through experience, not learning what people teach.
I've been told i'm an encentric writer and I have an unusual style of drawing which makes my individuality flow. I love it and I am going to expand on these talents of mine.

Well, i've pretty much bored myself so I doubt that you are still awake from reading this.
Good day.
